Sahil’s journey as a researcher began in molecular biology labs and global health clinics — but quickly expanded into civic tech, media innovation, and digital storytelling. At the heart of it all is a commitment to the intersection of deep inquiry and creative problem-solving: understanding how systems function (or fail), how people move through them, and how we might imagine something better.

Today, Sahil bridges science, technology, and creativity — building tools, experiences, and solutions that interrogate norms, unlock new possibilities, and drive impact.

Digital Frostbite

Co-authored an article with Dr. Kelly Johnson-Arbor on Digital Frostbite which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine; however, due to degree regulations of the NEJM I could not be listed as a co-author.

HIV Associated Reservoirs and Comorbidities Study (HARC)

Conducted translational research under Dr. Serena Spudich at the Yale School of Medicine during the summer of 2018. As a part of the HIV Associated Reservoirs and Comorbidities Study (HARC), formerly know as the HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorders Study (HAND Plus), I collaborated with MDs, PhDs, APRNs, and researchers to consent patients, conduct neuropsychological exams, assist with blood work and spinal taps, and catalogue thousands of blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples to understand the neuropathogenic mechanisms and cognitive affects of HIV and other infectious diseases

Mates Mobile Application

Conducted user research with over 200 students and housing administrators at UConn and other universities. This research informed the design of user personas, journeys, and flows, leading to the development of an alpha prototype for a mobile app aimed at solving challenges in finding and matching compatible roommates.

GANA - An Effective Solution to Communication Complications

Coded a networking app called G.A.N.A. using MIT App Inventor as a final independent project during my senior year of high school. Nominated to attend and present my work at the 2014 MIT APP Inventor Summit.
