Contributing writer & artist to the COP28 Dubai Artist report by the Arts & Culture Working Group. This report, entitled "We the Artists: Amplifying the Voices of Artists and Cultural Workers in Climate Action" was written to highlight the various and creative ways in which creative practitioners can contribute to raising awareness and sharing solutions to the growing climate crises. The report was officially launched in digital format at the COP28 Conference held in Dubai, UAE from November 30 to December 13, 2023.

Co-authored an article with Dr. Kelly Johnson-Arbor on Digital Frostbite which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine; however, due to degree regulations of the NEJM I could not be listed as a co-author.

Research has clearly demonstrated the role of humans in the global rise of temperature, and it has been suggested that 200,000 deaths a year are linked to climate change, a number that will continue to rise as the earth warms. Yet, people, especially the CEOs of large companies and those with great political influence who contribute the most to climate change, are not implicated in the same way for the loss of life as perpetrators of other crimes against humanity. Why? In this blog post I delve into the idea of climate change as a faceless genocide.

When thinking about climate change, human health is probably not the first thing to come to mind. That said, the link between climate change and our own health is quite strong and should certainly be considered. I explore this connection further through my experiences as a COP24 delegate.

Amidst a global pandemic, it is difficult to remember a time when we were not all thinking about global health issues. For Global Health Spaces on Campus (GloHSOC), the need to build enduring proactive, community-centered health care systems have always been at the forefront long before we arrived at our current state.
